Fear of Guns

Fear of Guns...

For many women it is hard for them to get pass the fear of owning a firearm, let a lone shooting one. I know because I was one of them.

I took my HQL class in 2018 and it took me almost a year before I purchased my first gun. Before even purchasing a gun, the hardest obstacle for me, was to walk into a gun store, not knowing what to expect and trying not to make a fool out of my self. In 2019, I finally purchased a Taurus G2C, 9 mm and then after that  I purchased two more pistols, Canik-TP9sf,  9 mm and another 9 mm Taurus G2C, 9 mm, mind you, never going to the range.

In 2020, a friend of my wanted to get her HQL, she took the class and we decided to hire someone to teach us gun safety and guide us in the range. Believe it or not we both were scared and unsure, but we did it.  I took two of my pistols and we took turns shooting with the assistance of the instructor we hired. We had a great experience and realize we loved it.

Here we are in November of 2020 and I have six pistols and one carbine rifle, a collector, a member of NRA Women and a member of Guntry Gun Range in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Through my growth and getting over the fear of guns, I have encouraged other women to do the same and take control of their fears of guns.

Safety

Most important!!! Learn the 4 Safety Rules of a firearm!!

Educate

My advise to all women interested in protecting your self and your family during these terrible times, is to get your Handgun Qualification License, and before you make that purchase, educate, research and get as much training that you possibly can.
